Our house is the middle one of three and has a garage above which is a ‘grenier’. There is a large room downstairs at the front of which is the kitchen with the water heater, fridge, cooker and mini oven and the eating area, at the other end looking out on to the garden there is the living area. Upstairs are two double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower, basin and W.C. The whole house is furnished to a high standard and is very comfortable. There is a second W.C, in the grenier. There is a modern washing machine in the barn next to the patio The garden is a very large on and there is plenty of garden furniture plus a barbecue. The above ground pool is 15 metres wide and 1.3 metres deep.  It is ideal for cooling off in the summer heat of The Charente

The Cottage
